12 Year Single Finish Maple Crème Brûlée

This whiskey tells the story before you taste it. Our 12 Year Rye has always carried a spicy, high-rye backbone. For this limited release, we finished it in barrels that once aged our own Vermont maple syrup, re-charred to caramelize the maple sugars into the oak. That caramelization is what gives this Rye its Crème Brûlée character: rich notes of caramelized sugar, maple and warm baking spice that taste like the top of one cracking under a spoon, all without losing what made this Rye worth aging in the first place, and without a drop of anything added. This is a Rye for anyone who wants dessert without the fork.
